Cohesion Case Studies

The centre worked in conjunction with the Regional Empowerment Partnership for Yorkshire and Humber to identify best practice examples of projects that are
promoting community cohesion in the region. Consequently, the research aims to capture the type of cohesive activity currently being undertaken across Yorkshire and the Humber.

The case studies will hopefully be used in future training packages to promote best practice community cohesion and to inspire others to undertake cohesive activity, as well as highlighting the challenges faced and the possible benefits gained from these types of activities.

Four projects were looked at in total and each case study includes the following:

  • Background to the project
  • The reason the project was started
  • The activities that take place as part of the project
  • The effects the project has had on the lives of those taking part
  • The challenges faced by the project
